So Winter, it seems, is not done with us yet . . . While we are not expected to have much, I am sure most would agree that no more snow is needed, and the cold temperatures we had today were rude when compared to the warmth of Saturday.
I was amazed to learn today that our ribs move about 5 million times in a year just from our breathing! It's really amazing when you think about it because . . . well, we don't usually think about it. Our breath, something so vitally important is usually relegated to the background, white noise, nothing more. I've become more aware of my breath this year, as I have worked on meditating so much.
I bought two new books to read today. Of course, they are not new, meaning they were not just released. I prefer to buy my books from the bargain outlets, as I don't have enough money to buy every book just when they come out. I try to pay back the authors by reviewing them and giving them word of mouth press when I get one I like. I bought another James Lee Burke book, Rain Gods, today and gave a chance to Rachel Harper's Brass Ankle Blues. Here's to reading, my healthy addiction.
I counted 39 Kia's today, but it was the last that took my breath away for it was you, headed into the local grocery store.
I still haven't heard back from you yet to confirm the get together on Saturday, but I am hoping that you still want to meet. I hope that the pain in my neck will not be as bad by Saturday as it has been so far this week. It really has come back with a vengeance.
