My reading took a scientific bent today, and to one of my fears - jellyfish! I was stung when I was five by a relatively harmless one, but I had a really bad reaction and have ever since been terrified, but fascinated, but them. I was reading today about Turritopsis dohrnii, the immortal jellyfish. This amazing creature can actually return at any stage to the polyp stage, the baby stage, hence it can live forever in theory. There might be an end to that ability, but we would likely not live long enough to know.
I fixed a very yummy Mediterranean dish for super that had orzo and onions and garlic and tomatoes along with spices. Instead of beef, I used bison. It was the perfect ending to the day. I've been cooking again a lot more. Have to find something to do. I can't believe I haven't driven myself anywhere in almost a month!
I have been looking at cars since mine is getting very old and worn out. What do I find? a 1974 VW Thing. Not exactly a "young" "new" car, but I absolutely adore them. It's not too bad on the price either and looks to be pretty solid. Of course, I would need to visit and that might end it. I have to wait to see if I can take off this collar anytime soon to drive to it. So we shall see.
I've been keeping up with my walking, too. Tonight I walked at Antietam National Battlefield, like I did yesterday. This time, I didn't have a single tick. That made me happy with yesterday's nine.
Well, the morning comes early for me and I can feel myself drifting. I counted 50 Kia's today.
This Saturday we get together again! I can hardly wait. Good night and sweet dreams. Know that I will always love you. Would you ever consider marrying me?
