So . . .do you think that Christmas was always part of the United States' traditions? Nope. Alabama became the first state in 1836 to recognize Christmas. I found that hard to believe that we waited that long for a state to recognize it. I am certain people celebrated it before then, but it's just hard to imagine we weren't recognizing it nationally right off the bat.
Nothing has changed from the steroid, so I was not surprised to find out that I will be facing a 3 level spinal fusion. I am waiting now for all the phone calls and paperwork to be completed before I get a date. I really can't wait because I need to have a change from all these negative symptoms that I have had for too long, plus I don't want to let it go until I am paralyzed or worse. The neurosurgeon I have is from Louisiana originally and his family owns a cotton farm. It makes for interesting conversation though I can't imagine not wanting to live in Louisiana or somewhere in the South.
