Well, I got my MRI results. I have significant herniation of the discs in the C-5 to C-7 vertebrae with nerve impingement. It's what we thought it was, but the MRI shows the extent of the damage and confirms what my physical therapists felt was happening. It takes me one step closer to the likelihood that I will be facing a surgery to repair the issue. While I don't relish a surgery, if it fixes the issue, I say let's go already!
Today was the first day the issue impacted my ability to do equine massage, which was a real disappointment. I gave Tessa another massage and then worked on Rocko and by the end of working on him, I knew I was done. I stayed and watched some of the lessons and talked with friends at the barn, but all the while, the pain was intense on my neck. Even taking pain medication hasn't helped it much.
It still was such a fantastic day overall though because the sun was there and the temperatures were warm. Spring is definitely on the way. Don't forget to Spring Forward tonight! Of course, with our smart phones and computers and the like, we have little in our lives that we actually have to make sure is set correctly.
I saw 38 total Kia's today. Number 19 looked like yours. I did see yours, of course, on my way to and from the barn, but I never count it.
Lo and behold, I had an email from you today. Those always make my day, even as they also bring a touch of sadness, because it signals us as friends rather than us as being partners in our lives as we were not all that long ago. The sadness will not keep me from building this friendship with you though, for I would rather that you were in my life in some capacity than not at all. Thank you for making my day by writing me a few words. My love has still not changed, and it is still my heart's deepest wish to ask you: Will you marry me?
With a mostly happy heart,
MNP
