I have been reading a book by Judy Pasternak called Yellow Dirt. It is a really sad story of how the Navajo nation was mistreated by our government with the Uranium mining boom. For example, how's this for a shocking statistic: "The Navajo Uranium miners averaged cumulative exposures that were about 44 times higher than the levels at Hiroshima & Nagasaki." That's the kind of factoid, couple with the government's treatment of them that we should all be ashamed of.
I SAW YOU today! You were driving home and I was out for my walk. It definitely brought a smile to my face. Oh, how I would have loved to been able to say just even hello. When I was out on my walk, I saw two adorable baby bunnies that I know you would have liked. Unfortunately, they were right near a busy road. I fear for them as they grow up.
I have been trying to get an O2 sensor off my Explorer, but it appears to be an original from when the car was made (it's a 97 model), so it's not budging. I have an emissions test coming up, so I guess I'll take that, knowing that it will most likely fail because of this and then see what I want to do. I know they give you a bit of time to make it right. I may opt to finally trade in the old wagon for something "newer". It won't be new, but it will be a new car for me.
I counted 22 total Kia's today and that #21, next to last was you. It's funny because I was just thinking about us and had said to myself, I still believe and there you were.
I wish you would text me and tell me you wanted to get together again. It's been nearly a month now, and I do so miss spending any little time with you. I hope you sleep well.
Love,
MNP
PS: Will you marry me one day?
