So, have you heard of Bobby Leach before? He was the first person known to have successfully gone over Niagara Falls. Pretty amazing stuff to think about. But for all that, he slipped on an orange peel, nothing more than a common orange peel, and it killed him. Yep, that's irony for you. And important lessons to be learned about watching out for the small things in life. Usually it's not the big things that will kill you, it's those little things, whether we are speaking literally or metaphorically.
I was about 15 feet from a wild bear yesterday. While hiking along with Rose River Falls path at Shenandoah National Park. It was a young bear foraging for food for the coming Winter hibernation. Still, he was curious though and watched after me. I didn't take the chance on a picture, even though I wanted one. I didn't want to put myself and then the bear in any threat of danger. I also saw several ravens and a baby newt eating a caterpillar. I made sure to move the newt off the trail after it was done because I sadly know that too many people would have been happy to actually stomp the poor thing to death and of course, someone might accidentally have done so, too.

That may sound a bit harsh, and I suspect it is, but there you have it, human nature red in tooth and claw.
I counted 18 Kia's on Friday, 59 on Saturday, 88 yesterday and 32 today. I've had several KIA notifications of one sort or another in messages and an Alexa ranking reference as well. I saw a little girl whose name was Alexa and have had references rather frequently to 1979.
