I had no idea that cats were not mentioned in the Bible. In fact, they are the only domestic animal not mentioned in the Bible. Maybe it's because the Egyptians worshiped them. The Christians thought that they needed to circumvent that religious tendency. I don't know, but it's rather odd.
Today was one of those days where you get out in the sun and it feels so good to soak it in that you could easily just lie down and go to sleep on the cool grass. At least for me it was. I took a walk and just felt like I was in heaven. I am so glad for warmer weather.
My mother is fostering another bottle baby kitten. He's only days old and very cute. He is mostly black looking, with some white on his belly, but if you look carefully at his paws, it looks like he may actually be a smoke. Hoping he continues to do well and makes it. It can always be touch and go with these bottle babies.
I went to the barn where Carol's horse Sprite now lives today. It was great to smell horses and take in their very essence. I am itching to get back to my equine massage.
I got a little depressed earlier today about us not being together and jotted this down:
Although each day, I find my strength restored a little more,
I feel far away from you,
removed in time to another place where there never was an us.
The universe is slowly washing away all memory
of those lines we blurred.
In their place there are only sharp edges that tear at the heart and soul.
Don't know if I will do anything more with that or not.
However, just after I wrote this, like the sun coming up to take over a Winter's chill, you texted me. It erased the sour mood I was in and reminded me that I have to stay positive. I counted 19 Kia's today and had a reference to sexytime, that made me laugh.
I hope that you and I will continue to build on our good relationship and eventually craft it into something better than it's ever been. I am hoping for a day when I get to say I do to you.
Wishing,
MNP
