Despite the odds against them, my Saints won on the road in the post-season. That alone brought some joy to me and a smile on my face. Now if we can get past that damn Seattle team . . . Their win also gives me hope . . .hope that all that I am working for will come to pass to. If the Saints can win on the road, in cold weather, perhaps, just perhaps you will come back to me. If they win in Seattle, I'll take that double boost of good luck.
I did very little today other than some writing and more organization and focusing. I am doing the things I set out to do this year to prove to you that change is possible and that being better is in the future. I hope when you see me next you will see that hard work and be ready to try again.
I cooked a dinner that I wish you were here to try. I did a dirty rice recipe along with onions, garlic, pecans and bell pepper. I really enjoyed it, and the act of cooking is one that I have always enjoyed. There is a peace while you are cooking and a creative outlet to boot. I don't understand how people can not like to cook. Now baking . . .baking is an entirely different story for me.
Tomorrow I have an interview for a new part-time job, this one tutoring. I hope This will work out. I have tutored in the past and really enjoyed it. It will also give me another outlet in my process of becoming a better me, along with experience that is invaluable for my resume. Please think well of me and wish me luck with it.
I wonder what you did on this cold, rainy, dismal day. I hope you are being kind to yourself and finding some laughter in life.
Hugs,
MNP
PS: I wait for the day, when I can walk up to you and say: Will you marry me?
