I thought you would get a kick out of my random fact for the day since it's about Marilyn Monroe, your favorite. A bra she wore in the movie Some Like It Hot went for $14,000 at an auction. It's hard to imagine someone paying that much for a piece of clothing.
Mostly, I had a great few days recovery-wise. I had a bit of a setback on Saturday evening when I had one of the most horrendous headaches of my life and was extremely nauseated and sick to the stomach. I really thought I was going to throw up, but somehow managed not to. I also tried not taking the vicodin last night, but around 2:00 in the morning, I broke down and had to take one. That allowed me a few hours of unbroken sleep.
Today, I rebounded pretty good and was able to not take any vicodin so far. I know I will probably take one before bed, so I can be assured of sleeping.
I hiked at Harper's Ferry yesterday and today at Sharpsburg. It felt so good to be out and not have the issues of throbbing neck and arm pain with numbness and tingling, the shortness of breath and the heaviness in the legs. I really am feeling back to where I was years ago and even better. I can't wait to really get up and running.
The Kentucky Derby went down this weekend and the favorite, with a great story, California Chrome one. He wasn't my pick, but it was hard to be upset at him winning. I do think if the derby wasn't such a mess with the huge fields that a horse like my favorite, Wicked Strong would have faired better. He was trying so many times to move down the track in the stretch only to have another horse drift over and close the hole. I say congrats though to California Chrome, even though my heart tells me that this another year without a Triple Crown winner.
I counted 77 Kia's on Friday and numbers 61 and 75 were identical to yours! Then on Saturday, I counted 79 and today 29.
We had some wonderful texts over this stretch in time. I am so happy that we are at least able to keep building our friendship to be stronger and stronger. We've also set a date for our next get together, so that makes me very happy. I haven't stopped loving you.
Be happy,
MNP
PS: Will you marry me?
